When: Saturdays - June 14 thru Oct 18 Time: 8:00 am to 1:00 pm Where: Historic Pioneer Park (300 South & 300 West) The Downtown Farmers Market is a local growers’ market, featuring fresh produce from over 80 Utah farmers. In addition to the produce, the Market also offers a variety of fresh baked breads and pastries, cheeses, meat and seafood, jams and honeys, house and garden plants, arranged planters, and numerous handmade arts & crafts. Unique food vendors also are a part of the Market, offering prepared foods and beverages.

Sweet corn, tomatoes (by the pound, by the bushel, heirlooms, organics), peaches (the early varieties), prunes, raspberries, red and black currants, garlic, blueberries, salad greens, beans (green, wax, and romano), spinach, arugula, chard, bok choy, beets, summer squash, zucchini, leeks, parsnip, broccoli, cucumbers, potatoes (red, white, and blue) eggplant, fresh onions, carrots, garden plants, herbs, blackberries.
Special Event 3rd Annual Chef Showdown: Chefs from The Metropolitan, Vienna Bistro, and The Tin Angel will create 3 courses using only items purchased at the Farmers Market. There will be one hour for shopping and menu planning, and one hour to prepare and plate 1) salad or appetizer, 2) main course, and 3) dessert. Circus Brown (KRCL DJ) will emcee the Showdown. The cuisine will be judged by: Mary Malouf (editor and food writer for Salt Lake Magazine), Bill Allred (DJ from X-96 Radio From Hell), and Andrew Wallace (Marketing Director for the Downtown Alliance).
This event was create to promote strong connections between local farms and local restaurants, to show the Farmers Market crowd the delicious dishes that can be made using only Market goods, and to promote Dine O' Round.
Live Music Michigan City Street Band: Harkens back to a bygone era of old time string band and bluegrass music. Enjoy the sounds of old favorites presented in a very 'young' fashion. 11am to 1pm near the dog park. Shady seating is provided.
